At the Southern California Journalism Awards, I was awarded Best Story on Gender and Society for my piece, Fastest Girl in the Village, which spotlighted Lesotho BMX rider Khothalang Leuta. The judges described it as “top-notch reporting, clear, concise, and a story that reels in the reader to consider a whole new world.”
